Brian Blake

Brian BlakeBrian Blake is a Democratic member of the Washington State House of Representatives. He has represented District 19 since his appointment in 2002. Representative Blake is currently serving as the Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee Chair, as well as sitting on the Business & Financial Services Committee, and the General Government Appropriations & Oversight Committee.

He has also sat on several additional committee assignments including the Joint Legislative Committee on Water Supply during Drought, Electron Dam Salmon Passage Work Group, Recreation on State Trust Lands Work Group, Council of State Governments — WEST Legislative Council on River Governance, Western Legislative Forestry Task Force, Coastal Caucus, and Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission.

He previously worked as a Contract Forester for the Weyerhaeuser Company. Blake has also worked for the Department of Corrections as an Environmental Specialist III. Blake earned his AS in Forestry from Grays Harbor Community College. He went on to receive his BS in Environmental Studies from Evergreen State College.
