Research & Analysis

Reseach conducted by the William D. Ruckelshaus Center has an impact that is both local and global: improving health care, preserving the enviroment, encouraging economic development and fostering new technologies. The Center can access experts within two of the nation's leading research universitites, the University of Washington and Washington State University, which have programs across the spectrum of intellectual disciplines. This partnership allows the Center to tackle key questions and investigate issues that touch all of our lives.


Field Observation

Faculty and staff at the William D. Ruckelshaus Center travel throughout the state of Washington collecting data for various research projects. Field observation provides researches with first hand data. Field observation allows researchers to observe factors which may seem irrelevant to the subject and which the research subject may not convey in a survey.

 

Applied Research

Applied research is designed to solve particular problems. Applied research studies can be used to address problems and improve life for indviduals and the communities they live in.
