Dr. Hillary Jenks joined the Ruckelshaus Center in January 2025. She previously served as the Executive Director of the Inland Empire Labor Institute, the Director of the GradSuccess Office at UC Riverside, and the Director of the Center for Social Justice and Civil Liberties at the Riverside Community College District. Hillary received her PhD in American Studies and Ethnicity from the University of Southern California, where she focused on urban and ethnic history. She has taught at Portland State University and at several campuses across the California State University system. She enjoys spending her free time watching movies, listening to music, and trying (usually unsuccessfully) to keep her plants alive.
