Alec joined the Ruckelshaus Center in August 2021 as a Project Coordinator. He provides support to several of the Center’s projects. Alec received his BS in Forestry from Washington State University, Pullman in 2019 and received his MS in Environmental and Forest Sciences and MPA with a focus in Environmental Policy from the University of Washington, Seattle in 2022.
He currently is in a PhD program with the University of Washington’s School of Environmental and Forest Sciences. His research is on the intersectionality of policy and environmental management in Washington State and the greater Pacific Northwest, specifically focusing on socio-economic impacts and policy effectiveness. In his free time, Alec enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and kayaking, playing soccer, woodworking, and spending time with friends and family.
