Purpose
In late summer through early fall 2023, the Ruckelshaus Center facilitated a series of virtual and in-person workshops. Those workshops allowed participants to shape emerging themes and options that were identified in previous conversations. More information about each workshop is available below.
Participants
Individuals with knowledge and experience related to housing and homelessness across geographies and sectors in Washington were invited to engage in discussion around what is needed for a long-term strategy for sustained progress towards housing security.
August Workshops
In August 2023, participants had virtual opportunities to discuss emerging options in different thematic areas. All agendas included discussions around equity, scale, acute and long-term needs, roles and responsibilities, and workforce needs and capacity. Each of the agendas had an additional focus on one of the thematic areas listed below.
